Evan Lydon is a percussionist and vocalist based in the greater New York City area. He enjoys performing a wide variety of music, including, but not limited to, theatrical performances, Musicals, atonal contemporary, electronic mixed media, and Baroque adaptations, and has done so on 3 continents: Asia, Europe, and North America. Evan is currently studying at New York University (NYU), earning his MM in instrumental performance under Dr. jonathon haas and Professor Sean Statser, and earned his BM in instrumental performance at West Chester University (WCU) under Dr. Ralph Sorrentino and Professor Chandler Beaugrand.

Evan is working with the NYU Broadway orchestra, percussion ensemble, contemporary music ensemble, chamber percussion ensemble, and the African Gyil and Percussion ensemble, and has performed with the WCU Concert Band, Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Mastersingers Choir, and the Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band. Outside of university settings, he enjoys playing with community groups and participating in various gigs with WCU alumni throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, and hopes to expand his outreach with the Alumni of NYU and create community within New York City.Â

As a photographer, Evan primarily focuses on recital and headshot photography. He focuses on the needs and wants of his clients while prioritizing the individual and their aesthetic. In his free time, Evan is an avid rock climber, which has given him another avenue to explore himself, the world, and his passions.
